What we collect, and what we do with it
This site is deliberately simple, and so is this page.
This website
AAM Associates USA publishes this site as a set of static pages. There are no analytics scripts, no advertising tags and no third-party trackers on it, and it sets no cookies of its own. There is no form to fill in: the only way to make contact from these pages is the email address and telephone number, which you use through your own mail or phone application.
Our hosting provider keeps ordinary web server logs, which record the usual technical details of a request such as IP address, time and the page requested. Those logs exist to run and secure the server.
If you email us
We use what you send to answer you and, if we go on to work together, to carry out that work. We do not sell it, and we do not add you to a marketing list because you made an enquiry.
Client records
Where we are engaged, accounting and tax information is handled under the terms of the engagement and the confidentiality agreement signed for it. In the usual case we work inside systems belonging to the client or to the CPA firm, through access that they grant and can withdraw, and we do not keep client files on local machines. The controls are set out on our security page.
Where we prepare returns as support to a CPA firm, the CPA firm remains responsible for its own client relationship, including obtaining the client’s consent to disclose return information to a preparer located outside the United States.
Where we are
The firm operates from Preet Vihar, Delhi, India. Information sent to us is processed there. That is the point of the service rather than a detail buried in a policy, and it is stated on every page that describes what we do.
Asking us about your information
Write to hello@aamacausa.com and we will tell you what we hold and, where we are free to do so, correct or delete it. Records we are required to keep for professional or legal reasons, or that belong to a CPA firm’s engagement rather than to us, are the exception.
